What is this program?

It's a self-insured medical expense reimbursement program (SIMERP), also known as a Preventative Care Management Program (PCMP). It allows employers to provide additional benefits to W2 employees while reducing payroll tax obligations.

Is this really at no cost to my employees?

Yes. The program restructures existing compensation so employees receive additional benefits - including short-term disability, critical illness, hospitalization, accident, and life insurance coverage - without any change to their net take-home pay.

How much can my company save?

Companies save approximately $640 per employee annually in FICA taxes. The exact savings depend on your headcount and payroll structure. We'll calculate your specific savings when you schedule a call.

Is this IRS compliant?

Absolutely. The program is fully compliant with IRS codes, HIPAA, ERISA, and ACA regulations. It pairs seamlessly with your existing ACA-approved medical plan.

How many employees do I need?

The program works for companies of all sizes. Each eligible W2 employee generates savings. Whether you have 5 or 5,000 employees, the program scales with your business.

Who is eligible?

Employees must meet three criteria: (1) be a W2 employee, (2) have qualified health insurance or enroll in the MEC plan, and (3) be full-time (30+ hours/week) or earn at least $26,240 annually.

Do I have to wait for open enrollment?

No. The program can be implemented at any time, regardless of your current benefits enrollment period.

Does this replace my existing health insurance?

No. This program is supplemental - it works alongside your existing ACA-approved medical plan with no changes required to your current benefits.

What benefits do employees receive?

Employees receive up to $1,200 annually in additional coverage including short-term disability, critical illness with cancer, hospitalization, accident, and life insurance.

How long does implementation take?

Implementation is straightforward and can typically be completed within a few weeks. It integrates seamlessly with your existing payroll and benefits systems.

Is there a cost to set up the program?

There's no setup cost. The program is funded through the tax savings it generates, with a small PCMP service fee that is more than offset by the FICA savings.

What about part-time or lower-wage employees?

Employees must work 30+ hours per week or earn at least $26,240 annually to qualify. Those who don't meet these thresholds simply aren't enrolled - there's no disruption, no penalty, and no impact on your existing benefits.

What if we already have a great benefits package?

This program is entirely supplemental - it doesn't replace, alter, or interfere with your existing benefits in any way. It adds new coverage on top of what you already offer, and saves your company money while doing it.

If this is so good, why doesn't every company do it?

Most companies simply haven't heard of it. The program isn't sold through traditional insurance brokers or HR software platforms - it's offered through specialized benefits advisors. That's the only reason it isn't universal. The companies that do know about it use it consistently.

What do employees actually see or experience?

Employees see a wellness program deduction and a matching non-taxable reimbursement on their paystub - net pay stays the same. They receive benefit ID cards and coverage documents for their new policies. We provide employer communication templates to help you introduce the program to your team.
